2. Installation

  1. Click “Plugins” > “Add New” in your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Click “Upload Plugin” at the top of the screen.

  4. After installation is complete, click “Activate Plugin”.
  5. “Gemini Writer” will be added to the left-hand menu of your admin dashboard.

3. Initial Setup (Get API Keys)

To use this plugin, you need the following two free API keys.

  2. Click “Create API key” to generate a key.
  3. Paste it into the “Gemini API Key” field on the plugin settings screen.

  1. Register at Unsplash Developers.
  2. Create a “New Application” to issue an “Access Key”.
  3. Paste it into the “Unsplash Access Key” field on the plugin settings screen.
    • If not set, images will not be inserted.

4. How to Use

🇺🇸 Switching Language Modes

Click the link “🇯🇵 Japanese | 🇺🇸 English” at the top right of the screen to switch modes.

  • Japanese Mode: The AI behaves as a Japanese writer, and prompts are optimized for Japanese.
  • English Mode: The AI behaves as an English-speaking writer, and the output will be in English.

⚙️ Configuration

  • AI Model: We recommend gemini-1.5-flash (Fast and cost-effective).
  • Allow Comments: Set whether to open the comment section for generated articles.
  • AI Instructions (Prompt): This is the instruction set for the AI. It switches automatically for each language mode. Basically, no changes are needed, but customization is possible.

📚 Article Topics

Enter the topics you want to write about, one per line. The AI will randomly select a topic from this list to write an article. Example:

📂 Mandatory Category

This is the yellow box at the bottom right. The category name entered here will always be added to the article, in addition to the category automatically determined by the AI.

  • Recommended Setting: Enter Blog(JP) for Japanese mode and Blog(EN) for English mode to easily manage articles by language within your site.

5. Execute Generation

Operate using the bar at the very bottom of the screen.

  1. Count: Select the number of articles to create at once (Max 10).
  2. Status:
    • Draft: Save as a draft.
    • Publish: Publish to the site immediately.
    • Schedule: Publish sequentially starting from a specified date.
      • When selected, settings for “Start Date” and “Interval (Hours)” will appear on the right.
  3. Start Generation: Click the button to start the process.

⚠️ Note: Downloading images and AI writing take time (10–30 seconds per article). Do not close the browser while processing. When complete, “Done.” will be displayed.

6. FAQ

Q. It says “❌ API Error”. A. Please check if the Gemini API key is entered correctly and that there are no extra spaces.

Q. It says “❌ Img Fail”. A. Check if the Unsplash API key is correct. Also, you may have exceeded the free limit (50 requests/hour). Please wait a while and try again.

Q. The articles are being written in the wrong language. A. Check if the language toggle at the top right is set correctly (e.g., “🇺🇸 English”). Also, check if the “Mandatory Category” setting is appropriate for the language.

Q. I get an “Empty Response” error. A. The AI might be refusing to answer a specific topic due to safety filters. Try a different topic. Although this version (v22.0) includes strong filter bypass settings, it may still occur rarely due to Google’s regulations.
