Q. We have a March year end and are on extension. Is it too late?For C corporations with a March 31 year end, the extended deadline is January 15. Preparation time depends on how much there is to review, so contact us as early as you can.Q. What is Form 5472?It reports transactions with related parties for U.S. corporations with a 25% or greater foreign shareholder and for single-member LLCs owned by a foreign person. The penalty for not filing is $25,000 per form.Q. Can you help if our bookkeeping is not finished?Yes. We can start by cleaning up the books and carry on through the year-end close and the return.Q. Can we switch from our current accounting firm?Yes. Send us your prior returns and financial statements and we will take it from there.Q. Do you work with companies outside New York?Yes.
